A pavilion serves as a very practical and functional outdoor structure and is ideal for an outdoor grill/kitchen setup. When paired with a fireplace, pavilions provide a cozy space to enjoy the outdoors in the dead of winter. We offer a smart WiFi lighting system that can be discreetly installed on your pavilion. These LEDs are controlled by your phone and can shine any color.

Columns are 6” x 6” x 8’ and beams cut 6”x 8” are bolted to columns on the roof load sides and the front Our rafters are 4”x6” spaced on 32-40” spacing. Our roof is a decking 1”x 8” x 12’ with 30# felt paper and shingles. We have a 1”x 8” facia on each side of the pitch. The end gables have a crow’s foot structural support members. Braces on each corner can be basic or detailed and ornamental.

PAVILION

A shed roof serves as a cover for a patio or deck and is built off of the side of an existing structure. We offer framing for screening and you can even turn a shed roof into a fully finished sun room.

Supported by two 6"x6"x8' columns and a 6”x10”beam. Rafters attach to a 2”x8” ledger secured to the house. The roof pitch is slight with a 3-4 /12, using 4”x6” rafter beams. We install 1”x 8” decking boards on top of rafters to provide a structural finished ceiling and roof. On top of the decking 30# felt is laid and then shingles are installed to match your house.

PERGOLA

Pergolas can be a versatile addition to just about any environment and provide a convenient source of shade. Pergolas also serve as a good add on that can be installed off the side of a pavilion.

Columns are cut 6”x 6”x 8’ high and the stringers 2”x8”. There are 2”x8” rafter boards installed on top of the beams, spaced 18”-20” apart. Then, on top, we install a 1”x 2” top grid spaces at 6” apart

We're usually booked about 4-6 weeks out. The sooner you pull the trigger on your project, the sooner we can get your wood cut add you to our construction schedule.
We can provide an estimated timeline once we have details of your project's requirements. Some projects take longer than others, of course. We work quickly, but will not sacrifice quality for speed. Our custom timber structures are meant to stand the test of time, and last for generations. Standard pavilions and other structures typically get completed within a week, but additions like fireplaces, bars, kitchens, stonework, or other requests extend the timeline. We always communicate and remain transparent about our completion dates.

We use choice cuts of rough cut White or Yellow Pine. All of our wood is bleached for mold and will last after a coat of water-resistant paint or stain. Our structures will stand as long as they are maintained.
All of our projects come with a one year warranty for any issue related to faulty construction. We highly recommend that you apply waterproof paint or stain immediately to protect from mold. Cracking also known as "checking" is normal in pine as it dries out and is easily dealt with by filling it in using wood putty/filler and then applying stain/paint over the affected area. Viking Patios is not responsible for the maintenance of your structure especially after the 1 year warranty has expired. Permitting is the responsibility of the customer and we need to be notified prior to construction if permits are being pulled. Any conflict of interest due to zoning/permitting is not covered by our warranty and may result in the loss of your deposit if construction is halted.
